I hate leaving good reviews. I don’t want anyone to find out about this place. (Keep my rents at their current awesome level and don’t tell anyone else I say!) But the current reviews are just not fair. And the managers are so nice here!
I think this place is the best I’ve found in the Birmingham metro area. It’s got an awesome location. It’s called Canopy for a reason because you have green all around but you’re right next to amazing transport links. 65, 119, 31 all right here.
Immediately here you can walk to Cahaba cycle and go for a ride to Oak Mountain park on the dedicated cycle paths. Doing it after breakfast at Big Bad Breakfast or lunch at Taco Mac. All right here. Or walk across to do some ice skating or watch hockey as it’s across the street. There are walking trails and you’re really close to great city parks and amenities.
What I love most, though, is the layout of the apartments. They are really well designed and stylish. The internet is crazy fast and the utilities are much less than what I was paying in my last apartment.
There have been issues, don’t get me wrong, but in my experience the maintenance team have been stellar. Some of them live on site which means a lot when your a/c goes out in the middle of summer on a Sunday.
The gym is adequate, not amazing, and the pool is great for lounging in, not exercising in. But there are plenty of health club options minutes away.
Overall this is absolutely a 5 star property. Don’t come here though. I want my rents to stay low!

No working elevators
I took the 4th floor because of the elevator. I was stranded a few times right after moving in but they were "fixing" it. Now I have had ankle surgery and depend on the elevator I was stranded the day of surgery and twice since then. I am only 2 weeks past op. It makes going to doctor's appointments induce panic. I can not use the stairs.
Property Manager Responded: Thank you for sharing this, and we're truly sorry for what you've been through. We want you to know we're aware of the recent elevator issues and have been acting quickly to resolve them, including having the elevator company come out to inspect and repair it. The elevator is working now, and we'll continue to monitor it closely to prevent further outages. We appreciate your patience and take this seriously.
