This place was chosen because of the location close to UAB . It is also close to drug dealers, roaches , water in your apartment every time it rains. Would not live here if it was free ! Minus 5 stars

Horrible apartments built on a hill. Expect nothing when it rains into your bedroom every single time. Crime, bugs , roach motel and management only wants your money. Pictures look great but you’ll regret it the moment you move here . Worst management company ever. - one star if possible.

I have lived here for almost 3 years now and every year it is under new management. This honestly seems to be the worst it has been since I have been here. Good luck having maintenance come by to fix any issues at all. I have been calling and visiting the front office for almost an entire month now to come fix multiple issues in my unit and every time they say someone will be there as soon as possible, then days go by with no contact. If it weren’t for it being dog friendly, and so close to UAB... I would not be living here.

This apartment complex has an AMAZING view of birmingham and the entrance to the vulcan trail is right in front. It's super convenient to UAB. The apartment itself looks nice when you tour it, but it is only surface level (meaning everything breaks once you move in). Water pipes break ALL the time (at least 6 pipes have burst in the last 2 months) and they have to shut the water off to fix it. They always say it will only take 30 minutes, but it ends up being 4-5 hours without water. There are... roaches and bugs all around the apartments. The pool is always green or broken. The office never returns your calls or emails. There have been 3 different companies in charge of the property and leasing in the 7 months I have been here and they all have sucked at communicating with residents. Maintenance will come "fix things" and leave them half-fixed saying they don't have the tools. The mailboxes are broken, so your mail gets stolen all the time. Honestly, it isn't that bad of a place to live if you don't mind roughing it a little bit and you know how to fix everything yourself. Be prepared for things to constantly go wrong while living here though.

I started to regret moving here about 3 months into my lease when my apartment flooded for the second time. I believe the management tried their best to fix the problem in a timely manner during the first flood. They set up a fan to try and dry the carpet before replacing it. Unfortunately the new carpet was flooded less than two days after it was replaced. Management gave us a key to an empty apartment for use during this time but that apartment was all the way up on the hill and reeked of... cigarette smoke.
I had a similar problem when the top of the sliding door in the living room and top of the windows in the bedroom started leaking after a major thunderstorm. I was told the windows were sealed after submitting my first maintenance request, just to find a few weeks later water pouring in to my rooms once again.
Parking can be awful depending on which part of the complex you're living at. Where I was, it wasn't at all uncommon for me to have to park elsewhere and walk up the hill to my apartment in the dark. Also people parked in the fire lane all the time which made entering and exiting difficult. If your neighbors smoke, I guarantee you will be smelling it in your apartment, not sure why. Overall, I had a bad experience living in this complex and it was not worth the proximity to UAB.
