I have never lived in a place with such a clearly uncaring and uninterested front office. Problems with systems and problems with uninvited people late at night are only the start of the issues. Please avoid these apartments, which look decent on the surface, but looking at your rental contract and then the mistreatment you get once you move in, you find out the real truth. So glad to never have to come back there again.

This apartment is located in one of the greatest locations to get anywhere in Birmingham. It takes minutes to get to all the popular hotspots of downtown. My roommates and I work in all parts of the city and everyone has a relatively fast route with proximity to 31, 65, and 280 (opposite of normal comuter traffic). The apartment has a good floor plan and there 2 smaller pools which is really nice. Maintenance has been prompt in the past when we have had issues. We have an apartment on the top... floor and is largely exposed to the sun all day. In the summer on the really hot days the air can't keep our unit below 74 in the afternoon. I would probably choose the unit differently now had I known that issue. The only tv/internet provider you can use is charter, because uverse has very poor coverage of this area. Even charter has some issues with old wiring.

Wildforest Apartments are clean and comfortable, but what you're mostly paying for is the location. Samford University is 2-3 minutes away, and so it's a mostly collegiate tenant base with some young marrieds and families thrown in for flavor. The complex feels very safe, and each unit has spacious rooms, standard appliances, and a washer and dryer.
The only complaints I ever had was how they could be quite slow when responding to maintenance requests and other calls to the office. 8 times out... of 10 they wouldn't answer the phone, and voicemails were not always returned. But if you went to the office during their standard hours they were always kind and got your requests taken care of.
